If you heard any motivational speaker or read a self-development book then you have read this over and over again.

You are the average of your 5 closest friends.

I got a new one for you: You are the average of the 5 foods you eat the most. In weight loss the most important part is the diet.

What do you eat on a daily basis and how much of it do you consume. Exercises and working out is important but for me it counts less.

Though it is necessary to increase the flowing of the blood in your body and that is equally important.

In the beginning of losing weight the main focus should be on the diet.

So have a closer look and analyze what you stuff into your body everyday.

Distractions and Instant Gratification

Well it is easy to get distracted on the Internet.

All you need to do is to open a new tab on your internet browser and you can search for a new thing.

In your house it is just as easy to get distracted.

You only need to walk to the kitchen and you have plenty of choice of what you can eat next.

If we are bored, we already start to think on what we could possibly eat next.

Well most people might say this is not a big deal, I would say it is a BIG deal.

Add all those times up and do this on daily basis, then you can see it is a lot of extra calories and sugar you are getting into your body.

Natural Foods Only 

Well the whole snacking part is not a big issue.

We are humans and we need to feed our body vitamins and minerals so that it can use this for energy. 

One way to tackle the snacking issue is to re-organize your whole kitchen.

Remove all kinds of processed food for the upcoming period.

Think of all kinds of packaged and canned food.

Remove foods like that from your diet and house, think of dry things like: bread, cake, cookies, muffins, croissants, cupcakes and more.

This is because processed foods contains extra added additives and sugar.

This is all good because it tastes wonderful.

But in terms for our body it is just bad as we overload our body on sugar and bad chemicals that disrupt the body’s system.

So only eat natural foods for the upcoming period. 

Think of all kinds of fruit and vegetables plus lean meat like chicken and beef.

Wild fish is also a really good option as it is rich in protein and omega 3.

Snack and go crazy on nuts.

You can have all food that comes originally from Mother Nature and is without a label.

Move That Body!

As told previously. Exercise is equally important. But I don’t mean exercise in the way of slaving yourself for 3 hours everyday at the local gym.

Nor that group class that the gym offers where you do exercises on high-beat music.

It is important to have and do a physical activity you actually love and makes you relax at the same time.

That is why I do not recommend you to go and run for 2 hours outside.

Whenever you do an intense and long workout like that, you will deplete the carb resources in your body.

As a result, your brain will give you signals to strengthen that supply and within no time you will find yourself snacking and eating a lot after your working out session.

And all those hours will be in vain as you are eating more than before.

So find an activity that makes you move more.

Whether it be walking around the neighborhood for half an hour or if it is swimming.

Do it daily and for at least 30 minutes.

Make sure that you are relaxed when you do it and that you enjoy it.
