Losing weight is difficult. I know it. If it was easy everybody would be skinny and slim with a six-pack.

You need to take care of your family, you got some friends you need to catch up with once in a while.

Lots of people will complain to you that it is in their genes and that they are eating healthy and exercising. But they just can’t lose any weight.

My advice to you. Do not listen to those in your environment who did not succeed in what you seek to realize.

Shut out the noise and do your own research.

This is important if you want to make this happen.

It is that you need to listen to yourself and not those who are pessimistic about every little thing in life.

Quick Weight Loss Tips for Mom



Focus on what is important for your right now.

Have you ever seen another mom that managed to have healthy and happy kids, a satisfied husband, a well nourished circle of friends, a happy boss and one that visits the gym on a daily basis?

NO that is just not possible.

Write down a list of the things in life that are right now most important for you.

Make your priorities and give the top things the biggest chunk of your time.

As you go down the list, prioritize less time to it.

If losing weight is the number 1 priority for you, then start wondering what you can do to make this happen.

Self-awareness is the best weapon you can have in the journey of losing weight.

Write all of the things down that might influence you and makes you gain weight. Write those down and let it rest for 48 hours.

After 2 days, look back and analyze everything. What can you improve and what not.

Healthy Snacks

Eating healthy is the important thing that you can do when you want to lose weight fast.

Gaining weight is almost always likely due to eating bad foods and too much of it.

This makes your blood sugar level go up like crazy.

When this happens, the extra sugar in your blood will be stored as fast.

If this happens too many times in a period, your body will not function normal anymore and you will store more and more fat. 

And gaining weight is going very fast from then on.

Stop with eating all kinds of chips or sugar based foods as snacks. Instead have fruit, nuts or a healthy shake as a snack.

Be creative and have snacks that you can make in an instant or carry with you in your bag.

Here are some snacks that I like to have during the day:

Apple Cinnamon: I just cut an apple and sprinkle some cinnamon on it. I like this a lot as apple contains lots of good vitamins and minerals and the cinnamon reminds me of eating an apple pie!

Walnuts & Almonds: I just grab a handful of both walnuts and almonds and put them in this tiny box where I can store them.

Carrots: I just cut a carrot of two and put them in a plastic bag. I like them raw.

Mini Sweet Peppers: I just buy them at the local grocery store and eat them raw as well. Rich in vitamin C and very tasty!

I like to snack a lot, so these snacks are always within reaching distance. This is to prevent that I will go and take the snack of the kids..

Plan Meals

I am not talking about prepping meals in here. What I am talking about is meal planning.

That you either know the meals for the upcoming days in your head or have it written down.

Everyone knows what time it is when you do not have a plan for dinner. It will be a pizza night or visit to the McDonald.

Once in a while this is good, but if this happens on a frequent basis, then this is harming your weight loss efforts.


Exercise is extremely important when you want to lose weight.

As a mom however, this might not be feasible or even realistic. 

Just thinking of all the things you need to do in the evening: laundry, reading with the toddlers, preparing dinner and the list goes on….

Going to the gym by yourself is a no-go and I agree with you.

Instead take your kids outside and play with them or walk around the neighborhood with your family.

This will give you the necessary movement your body needs so desperately.
