When on a detox it is important to keep on eating clean.

This might be hard because sometimes that next lunch seems so far away.

1. Apples With Cinnamon Powder

I like to have my apple with a pinch of cinnamon powder.

I cut my apple in equal pieces and sprinkle cinnamon powder on top of it.

Usually I eat it cold but sometimes I just heat it up in the microwave for a bit and then the aromas of the cinnamon really hit ground.

Reminds me a lot of eating apple pie.

An apple fills your stomach and keeps you from having cravings and overeating.

Not to forgot the vitamins and minerals it contains.

2. Chia Drink

Chia seeds are easy to get and not expensive it all.

Chia seeds aids the digestion process and speeds up the bowel process.

This will help a lot to remove waste and excess of toxins out of your body.

Chia seeds are low in calories but high in fiber content, meaning it will keep you satisfied for a long time and keep hunger at bay.

Have a water bottle you carry in your bag and put one teaspoon or two of chia seeds in it.

Fill your bottle with water and let the chia seeds infuse for at least 10 minutes before you start drinking. I like the chia seeds of Viva Naturals.

3. Avocados

Order guacamole whenever you can in a restaurant or ask for avocado in your salad or smoothie.

It lowers the cholesterol and contains healthy fat.

Apart from the good nutrients it contains it is very handy when it comes to detoxing your body.

It helps to protect the liver against any chemicals that might harm it.

4. Celery

Celery can be eaten cold and it contains a lot of fiber, which means that it helps to move food fast through your digestive system.

Carry a few of these in a bag or box and have it as a snack whenever you feel that a craving is coming up.

5. Asparagus

Easy to make as a snack or vegetable dish at dinner.

Steam it and its done! Its full of amino acids and minerals that protects the liver against waste and toxins.

Asparagus is also a diuretic, which helps to flush an excess of toxins from your body.

6. Greek Yogurt With Berries

Greek yogurt helps to protect your gut, having a healthy gut is most important as it helps to protect your body from harmful bacteria’s.

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and this combination with Greek yogurt will give you enough protein and fiber to last for the day.

​7. Popcorn With Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is a great spice to speed up your metabolism.

Add this with popcorn and you have one of the healthiest snacks around that just takes minutes to make.

Always avoid microwave popcorn as the chemicals inside are more harm to your body than good.

How to Make Your Own Healthy Popcorn

Take a firm pot and add just a bit of olive oil, just enough to have the bottom covered. Wait until the olive oil is really hot and add 1 kennel and put the lid on. As soon this one is popped you'll know the oil is hot enough. Right away, add 1 cup of popcorn kennels and put the lid back on. Give the pot a good stir and wait till it doesn't pop any kennels anymore. Your fresh popcorn is ready to be served!

8. Lemon Water

Lemons water is good to do a thorough cleanse within your body and it is also good to ease any form of constipation.

Giving your bowels that extra push it needs.

9. Bananas

Bloating can be a horrible thing and sometimes it just becomes too much.

Eat bananas to remove the excess of gas and water in your body.

Have it twice a day as a snack before your big meal and it will help to reduce your belly bloating and put enough potassium in your body to combat water retention.

10. Almonds

Just keep a handful of these in your bag and that is all you need on a day.

Almonds are full of good nutrients and fats and eating just a few of them will already make you feel full fast.
